Zest Education is a recruitment
agency that believes in making
the perfect match.
After more than a decade of experience at leading education recruitment consultancies across Birmingham, in 2014, Brad decided to take his knowledge and passion for the industry to the next level by launching Zest Education.
Brad is, and always has been, a secondary school and academy specialist, having now provided staff to the majority of secondary level schools across the West Midlands.
He may have a penchant for brightly coloured shirts and bad jokes, but by always being honest, professional and consistent in his approach, he continues to receive outstanding feedback and unwavering loyalty from his clients and candidates. If you are a secondary school with a particular requirement, or somebody who is looking to work within a secondary setting, he is most definitely your man.
Outside of the office, Brad can be found either training tirelessly for yet another ludicrously demanding endurance event (IronMan), or enjoying visiting new places with his wife and young son. Suffice to say, he never has time to get bored!
Having worked in a SEND school for several years, in a variety of roles, such as; Behaviour Mentor, Class teacher and Head of Stage 3, he understood the ever increasing demands they face in finding staff with the skills and attributes that are necessary, to have the right level of impact on the students’ individual learning.
So in 2016 he decided to use his hands-on experience in a different way.
By joining the education recruitment industry, he was able to use his extensive SEND knowledge to provide schools and specialist learning centres with the highest calibre and best-suited classroom practitioners available.
When Nathan isn’t busy with his schools and candidates, you are likely to see him chanting (swearing) away at his lifelong football team, Coventry City FC, partaking in a game or two himself with the lads and spending quality time with his family (wife and two whacky hounds). He also has a rather keen penchant for jolly good fodder.
Sarah is our undeniably amazing Resourcer and Compliance Officer, and the queen of admin.
With a background in recruitment, having been a 360 recruitment consultant at her previous company, she has a comprehensive understanding of all of the recruitment processes involved in the attraction, management and provision of high calibre candidates. Not only does she enjoy dealing with candidates on a more personal basis, she is also impeccably organised, loves a good list, and is a whiz with digital marketing!
When she’s not getting excited about spreadsheets, or more efficient ways to do things around the office, she can be found binge-watching the very best of TV shows with her pooches, or blowing away the cobwebs with bracing walks in the fresh countryside air.
She can usually be found saying “I’m bloomin’ freezing”, which is proceeded by the layering up of yet another bear-fur of a cardigan.
Lenny is a fox-red Labrador ‘teenager’, and our official Zest Education mascot.
His tail could almost be classified as a weapon of mass destruction, and when he’s not busy sleeping (producing unique snoring noises) in his office bed, he likes nothing more than chasing sticks and balls, for hour, upon hour, upon hour.
Our consultants are always friendly and approachable and will do everything they can to put you at ease. We’re ‘people people’ that love working in partnership with schools and the best teaching talent from across the Midlands.
We believe that every day should be a fulfilling adventure for pupils, candidates and our schools – full of new opportunities, challenges and living life to the fullest.
What drives us is the knowledge
that with every placement, we’re changing people’s lives. So, whilst we enjoy being lighthearted from time to time, such a big responsibility means that we take our work very seriously. We are always fully committed to safeguarding and attention to detail, and pride ourselves on being professional in all possible situations.
We believe in pure honesty at all times. Schools need the right person for the job, and candidates want honest feedback in order to perform at their best. By being completely transparent, everybody knows exactly what they’re getting, and students are more likely to get the quality education they need.
