Do you have experience working with Key Stage 1 students? Are you looking for a new opportunity in a wonderful school? Look no further! Zest Education is excited to collaborate with a lovely school in the Kingswinford area, who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Teaching Assistant to join their team.
Starting in October 2024, this rewarding role will run for at least two academic terms, offering a flexible schedule of 3 days a week. At Zest Education, we understand the importance of achieving a better work-life balance, and this position is tailored to allow you to do just that.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the purposeful, stimulating, and broad curriculum offered by the school. The school have a focus on meeting the diverse needs and abilities of all children, you will provide valuable assistance to ensure that each student can progress at their own pace. By doing so, you will help prepare them for the next exciting chapter of their educational journey beyond primary school.
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience working with Key Stage 1 students and possess a genuine passion for education. You should be patient, adaptable, and possess excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with the teaching staff and parents. A nurturing and empathetic approach will also be crucial in building strong relationships with the students, enabling them to thrive both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
– Support the class teacher in creating a safe and engaging learning environment
– Assist with planning and delivering activities that cater to the individual needs of the students
– Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional help or guidance
– Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher
– Promote positive behaviour and reinforce classroom routines
– Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure a cohesive and inclusive educational experience for all students
Qualifications and Experience needed for this position:
– Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
– A genuine passion for education and supporting children’s development
– Knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum
– Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
– Patience, understanding, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles
– Relevant qualifications in education or child development are desirable but not essential

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
