Teacher of Criminology

Job Description

Zest Education are seeking a dedicated Teacher of Criminology to join a secondary school in the Castle Bromwich area. The successful candidate will have experience teaching the KS5 curriculum and a strong understanding of criminology concepts and theories. This is a full-time role due to commence in April 2025, and is expected to run for the rest of the academic year. Teachers with a background in Sociology will also be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

– Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons in criminology for KS5 students
– Assess student progress and provide feedback to support their learning and development
– Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
– Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students
– Participate in school events and extracurricular activities as required

Qualifications:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
– Experience teaching criminology at KS5 level
– Strong knowledge of criminology concepts and theories
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential
