DT Teacher

Job Description

A lovely Secondary School in Stafford are looking for a DT Teacher to start in September.

You will be responsible for lesson planning and health and safety of students, as well as marking assessments.

The school boasts modern infrastructure and good facilities that you will have at your disposal. They are looking for someone who is vibrant and engaging with strong classroom management.

The ideal candidate will possess at a minimum:

  • A PGCE or equivalent qualification
  • Experience teaching DT to KS3/KS4 children
  • QTS or QTLS
  • Applications from ECTs and NQT’s are welcome

Your responsibilities:

  • To effectively deliver lessons in keeping with the British Curriculum
  • To ensure health and safety standards and policies are adhered to
  • To have a working knowledge of CAD and similar design software
  • To plan lessons and mark homework effectively
