Teaching assistant

Job Description

Part time TA – Harborne – EYFS

Zest Education are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a wonderful primary school located in the Harborne area, who are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) provision.

This part-time role is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a calm and patient demeanour who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs. Working one-to-one with a child under the guidance of the school’s SENCo, you will play a vital role in implementing their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), ensuring they receive the individualised support needed to thrive. The position also involves elements of personal care, so a nurturing and empathetic approach is essential. The role is mornings only, from 8:20am to 12:45pm, Monday to Friday, and will run for the full academic year.

The successful candidate will hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 3 qualification in a relevant childcare or education field and will bring a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to the role. They will be a strong team player, capable of working collaboratively with staff and the school’s SENCo to deliver consistent and effective support. A hardworking and positive attitude is essential, along with a solid understanding of the EYFS curriculum and how to engage young learners in meaningful and developmentally appropriate activities. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate a high regard for safeguarding procedures, recognising the importance of creating a safe and nurturing environment where every child can flourish. A genuine passion for helping children develop essential life skills from an early age is key to succeeding in this role.

If you’re looking for a rewarding position where you can make a real difference in a supportive and well-regarded school environment, we’d love to hear from you.
