Zest Education are looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to join the KS2 team at a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Swadlincote, from September 2025. This role is full-time and will initially run for the duration of the first term, with a strong chance of extension based on school needs and performance.

As a Teaching Assistant in the KS2 team, you’ll work closely with the class teacher and pupils to support high-quality teaching and learning. Key responsibilities include:
Assisting in the delivery of engaging lessons and activities
Providing targeted support to individual pupils and small groups
Helping manage classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
Preparing learning materials and supporting classroom organisation
Supporting pupils with additional needs to ensure inclusion
To be considered for this role, you should have:
A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
Recent experience working in a primary school, ideally in Key Stage 2
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A calm, caring, and patient approach to working with children
A strong understanding of safeguarding and promoting child welfare
A passion for helping children succeed both academically and personally

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
