Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Atherstone)
Location: Atherstone
Start Date: October 2025
Contract: Full-time, until the end of the school term

Zest Education is delighted to be working with a friendly and forward-thinking primary school in Atherstone, which is currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time role running until the end of the school term, with the potential for ongoing work in other local schools through Zest Education.

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll be a key part of the classroom team, supporting both teachers and pupils across Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with the delivery of engaging lessons
Supporting individuals or small groups with specific learning needs
Encouraging positive behaviour and social interaction
Preparing and maintaining classroom resources
Helping to track student progress and contribute to planning when required
This role is well-suited to someone who is passionate about helping children succeed and is looking to gain valuable school-based experience.
We are looking for candidates who:
Have experience working with children (in schools, nurseries, or similar education settings)
Are enthusiastic, reliable, and approachable
Possess strong communication and teamwork skills
Hold a DBS on the Update Service or are willing to apply for one through Zest Education
Have relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant) – desirable but not essential

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
