Teaching Assistant – Primary School – Tamworth

Location: Tamworth
Start Date: After October Half Term
End Date: Until Christmas Holidays (with potential for extension)
Salary: Competitive rates of pay
Job Type: Full-time (Monday–Friday, term time only)


Zest Education is working closely with a warm and welcoming primary school in the Tamworth area, seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team after the October half term. This role will run until the Christmas holidays, with the possibility of continuing into the new year.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting both the class teacher and pupils. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with classroom activities and lesson delivery

  • Providing one-to-one or small group support to children

  • Supporting pupils with additional needs

  • Helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment

  • Supporting behaviour management and encouraging positive interactions

  • Contributing to assessment and feedback under teacher guidance

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Level 3 qualified (or equivalent) – preferred

  • Experienced working in a primary school setting

  • Confident supporting learning

  • A good communicator and effective team player

  • Knowledgeable in safeguarding
