Teaching Assistant, needed! A school near the Hollywood area are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child in a year 3 class. The role is due to start in April 2024 until the end of the academic year and you will be required to work on a part-time basis, 4 days a week.
The school is situated in a popular area with good outdoor space, enabling exciting outdoor learning opportunities which they try to include as much as possible within their stimulating curriculum. The Head Teacher is proud of the children’s attitude to learning, making it a fun environment to work and be a part of.
The role will involve you working on a one-to-one basis with a child who requires extra support during classroom activities. Due to the needs of the child, some experience and/or understanding of supporting children with SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) and autism is advantageous. Some Emotion Coaching training will also be provided to the successful candidate to help with supporting the needs of the child. The successful candidate will also have a patient and caring nature, doing their best to ensure that the child is supported, has a positive learning experience and make steady progress at their pace.
Pay will be dependent on references and experience.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
