Zest Education are working alongside a lovely village like primary school based in Atherstone who are looking for a 1:1 teaching assistant to join their team on a part time basis, working Monday to Wednesday from September 2024 on a ongoing basis.

Located in the picturesque village of Atherstone, the primary school stands as a charming cornerstone of the community. The dedicated teachers, known for their nurturing approach, inspire a love for learning in every child. With small class sizes, each student receives personalized attention, ensuring that their unique talents and abilities are nurtured and celebrated.

As a 1:1 Primary School Teaching Assistant, your main responsibility will be to provide individualised support to a specific student with learning difficulties or special needs. In this role, you will work closely with the classroom teacher to implement personalised learning strategies and ensure the student’s academic and social development. Your duties will include:
– Assisting the student with classwork and assignments
– Providing one-on-one guidance and support during lessons
– Monitoring the student’s progress and development
– Implementing behavioural management techniques when necessary
– Collaborating with the teacher to adapt lesson plans to suit the student’s needs
– Encouraging independence and confidence in the student’s learning journey

Requirements for this role include:
– Previous experience working with children in an educational setting
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students overcome challenges
– Relevant qualifications in education or special needs support

Pay will begin from £76.92 per day and will depend on experience and references.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
