SEND Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education is proud to be working with an Outstanding-rated primary school that is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Primary Teacher to join their exceptional team. This warm and inclusive school, praised by Ofsted for its nurturing ethos and commitment to excellence, offers a supportive environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. The successful candidate will benefit from modern facilities, a collaborative staff culture, and a leadership team deeply invested in professional development and wellbeing.

As a SEND Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH). You will work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents to create individualised learning plans and ensure that each pupil makes measurable progress, both academically and emotionally. Strong communication skills, patience, and creativity are essential, as is a genuine passion for inclusive education.

The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have proven experience teaching within a SEND or mainstream primary setting. A solid understanding of the national curriculum and experience in adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs are key. In return, the school offers ongoing CPD opportunities, a supportive senior leadership team, and the chance to make a real difference in the lives of children who thrive on personalised, nurturing education. Join Zest Education today and take the next rewarding step in your teaching career.
