Zest education are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a full-time Year 2 one-to-one support assistant at a primary school in Alum Rock. As a support assistant, you will work closely with a Year 2 student to provide personalized assistance and help them thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide one-to-one support to a Year 2 student in their academic and personal development.
– Assist in creating and implementing tailored learning plans to meet the student’s needs.
– Support the student in developing essential skills and fostering a love for learning.
– Collaborate with teachers and parents to ensure a holistic approach to the student’s progress.
– Maintain accurate records of the student’s progress and achievements.
Requirements:
– Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young learners.
– Ability to adapt to the individual learning styles and needs of students.
– A proactive and positive attitude towards supporting student development.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
