Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with special needs? Zest Education is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a special educational needs school in Leamington Spa.
The role is due to begin ASAP for the full academic year, this full-time position requires your commitment Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 15:30 to provide consistent support for a 12-year-old student with physical disabilities and complex medical needs.
At this school, they prioritise creating a safe and nurturing environment where every child, aged 2-16 years, is given the opportunity to reach their full potential. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, your role will involve working closely with the student, delivering tailored support to help manage challenging behaviour and foster positive engagement in the learning process.
We are looking for candidates with previous experience working with special educational needs and the ability to adapt and extend learning within a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment. Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
