Zest Education has teamed up with a wonderful primary school in the heart of Rowley Regis that is searching for a devoted and patient teaching assistant to work one on one with a year 2 child. The school is looking for a qualified applicant to start in January 2025 and work through to the end of the academic year. This could potentially continue if the school finds you to be an appropriate fit for the school and the student who you will be working with closely.

This role will require the successful candidate to work 5 days a week across this period from December 2024 until July 2025.

The two-form entry school in the centre of Rowley Regis has worked hard to put together a team of devoted and passionate professionals who have worked hard to create a stimulating and pleasant environment for all pupils who attend. The school provides a variety of indoor and outdoor activities and opportunities for students to meet their educational needs. The Wonderful school offers onsite parking and are local to accessible public transport links for all staff member

As a 1:1 teaching assistant, your role responsibilities are diverse and crucial in supporting the learning and development of individual students. One key aspect of your role is to provide personalised attention and support to the student you are assigned to. This includes adapting teaching methods to cater to their unique learning style, pace, and needs. The successful candidate will be tasked with monitoring the student’s progress and identifying any challenges they may be facing in their academic journey.

To be successful within this position you must:

  • Have a passion for education and helping students.
  • Have prior experience working with students in a educational based setting, preferably in a 1:1 setting.
  • Have the ability to work independently when making decisions for the student as well as in a team.
  • Be eager to learn with a positive attitude.
  • Be able to provide emotional and behavioural support to the student with additional needs.

 

Pay will start from £77 per day however will be dependable on experience and qualifications.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).

The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
