Zest Education is working in partnership with a nurturing and inclusive primary school in Dudley to recruit a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs and looking to make a meaningful difference in a primary school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with special educational needs, tailored to their individual learning and behavioral needs.
• Implement strategies outlined in the pupil’s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
• Assist in developing the child’s confidence, communication, and emotional wellbeing.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCO to monitor and report on progress.
• Help create an inclusive, structured environment that supports consistent routines and learning.
Requirements:
• A minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 3 desirable).
• Proven experience working 1:1 with children with SEND, particularly those with autism, ADHD, or speech and language needs.
• A calm, patient, and nurturing approach to managing behavior and learning.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and supporting the holistic development of pupils.
