We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a wonderful school in Burton-on-Trent in a year 3 setting. This position is due to start in January 2023 and will continue for at least two academic terms.

Our school prides itself on its village-like feel and innovative curriculum, designed to foster a love for learning and inspire creativity in all students. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting and empowering students to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:
– Provide individualized support and guidance to assigned students, ensuring their academic and emotional needs are met
– Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement personalized learning plans
– Assist with the preparation of engaging and interactive activities that align with the curriculum
– Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting respect and understanding among students
– Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardians

Requirements:
– Relevant experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
– Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students and staff
– Knowledge of different learning styles and strategies to accommodate diverse student needs
– Excellent communication and organizational skills
– Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
