Job Description

Zest Education, an award-winning education agency, is currently recruiting for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a lovely school in Erdington. This opportunity requires previous experience working with children with special educational needs and offers a part-time position with flexible hours.

Roles and Requirements:
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting a student with special educational needs on a one-on-one basis. This role will involve providing tailored assistance to the student, helping them with their learning and development in line with their individual education plan.

Key Responsibilities:
– Assist the student with their coursework and educational activities
– Support the student in developing social and communication skills
– Collaborate with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement individualized learning strategies
– Monitor and track the progress of the student and provide regular feedback

Requirements:
– Previous experience working with children with special educational needs
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to adapt to the individual needs of the student
– Relevant qualifications in education or SEN would be advantageous
– Enhanced DBS check

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
