Are you an experienced school Receptionist/Administrator looking for a new opportunity? Zest Education is currently recruiting for a temporary to permanent School Receptionist/Administrator role, where you will be a key player in creating a warm and welcoming environment for children, parents, and staff.
As the face of the school, your friendly demeanor and exceptional communication skills will be crucial in fostering positive relationships with families and ensuring they feel supported throughout their child’s educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
– Greeting visitors, parents, and children warmly to create a positive first impression.
– Handling telephone calls and enquiries promptly and professionally.
– Managing school correspondence and distributing mail efficiently.
– Maintaining accurate student attendance records and supporting the sign-in/sign-out process.
– Organizing the reception area to provide a safe and welcoming environment.
– Coordinating school trips and managing payments.
– Assisting with school admissions requirements.
Requirements:
– Previous experience in a school receptionist or administrative role is essential.
– Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
– Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; knowledge of SIMS and Parent Pay is advantageous.
– Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
– Friendly and approachable personality with a passion for working with children and families.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children.
All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you, the cost of the DBS is £61.30) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position is recent and relevant experience, ideally school-based within the last 5 years.
