Start Date: January 2026 (First term of the new year, with the possibility of extension)

The Role

We are looking for a committed full-time Teaching Assistant to start in January 2026. You will support teaching and learning throughout the first term, and the role may extend if the school requires it. From the beginning, you will work closely with class teachers. You will also help pupils stay engaged, confident, and motivated.

Your daily duties will include:

  • Supporting pupils in whole-class lessons and small groups

  • Helping the teacher plan and deliver engaging activities

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and maintaining a calm classroom

  • Assisting children with additional needs so they can join in fully

  • Preparing resources and keeping the classroom organised


The Ideal Candidate

You will bring:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent

  • Experience working with children, ideally in a primary school

  • A proactive and enthusiastic attitude

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Patience, empathy, and an understanding of individual needs

  • Flexibility, reliability, and a genuine passion for education
