Zest Education is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive primary school in Lichfield for an Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on classroom experience while working towards a nationally recognised Teaching Assistant qualification.
Supporting teachers in the delivery of high-quality education across Early Years, KS1 or KS2
Assisting with the preparation of learning materials and classroom activities
Working with individual pupils and small groups to support their development
Helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
Participating in school life and contributing to the wider learning community
A genuine interest in working with children and a passion for education
A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn
Good communication and teamwork skills
On-the-job training and full support from experienced staff
A structured apprenticeship programme with a recognised qualification
Real classroom experience and professional development

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
