Art and Design Teacher

Zest is seeking a full-time art and design teacher to start January 2025 for the rest of the academic year for a school in the Stoke on Trent area. This role is for one term only and any extension of this role is up to the discretion of the school.

Ideally the school would like a creative and dynamic teacher to join their art department who aims to and is passionate about improving the learning outcomes for all students. Subject knowledge up to KS4 is essential with knowledge at KS5 being an advantage. Additionally, the school offers state of the art facilities and plenty of on-site parking for those that may need it.

Not only does the school have a great reputation in the local community, but the successful applicant would also be joining a supportive leadership structure that focuses on the ethos of building a community for the future, with students being taught vital skills for later in life.

The successful applicant will have:

1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
2. A strong passion for the subject of Art and Design and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4.
3. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements)
4. Strong classroom and behaviour management

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
