Art Teacher

Job Description

Are you a Art Teacher looking for a new role? Zest Education are looking for a Art teacher for a school located in Alum Rock. This role is full time and starts September 2024, for the academic year, with a possible permanent role if the fit is right.

The school is a fast paced Good Ofsted rated secondary school looking to maintain their already good standards.  It is also situated in a popular area, so is easily accessible by private or public transport.

The ideal candidate will have excellent subject knowledge, enthusiasm in the role, and a passion for Art.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for Art and a substantial knowledge of the subject across KS3 and KS4
  • A strong desire to be part of the wider department
  • The ability to control the classroom and the behaviour of the students
  • A creative mind with the ability to adapt lessons as and when needed to suit the needs of the students.

Responsibilities will include planning and delivering engaging art lessons, assessing student work, and actively participating in meetings and professional development activities. If you are enthusiastic about inspiring the younger generation through art education, we want to hear from you!

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
