Art Teacher

Zest Education are looking to recruit a Art teacher for a school located in Handsworth. The role is full time starting immediately, for the remainder of the academic year, with a possible permanent role if the fit is right.

The school is a fast paced high good Ofsted rated secondary looking to maintain their already good standards. They believe in trying to help and support each student into becoming promising young adults. It is also situated in a popular area, so is easily accessible by private or public transport.

The ideal candidate will have excellent subject knowledge, enthusiasm in the role, and a passion for making a difference.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
• A strong passion for Art and a substantial knowledge of the subject across KS3 and KS4
• A strong desire to be part of the wider department
• The ability to control the classroom and the behaviour of the students
• A creative mind with the ability to adapt lessons as and when needed to suit the needs of the students.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
