Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity in a school setting? Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and reliable School Caretaker for a fantastic secondary school in Lichfield. This is a temporary ongoing position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Ensuring the premises are in a clean and well-maintained condition
– Opening and closing the school buildings, including security procedures
– Undertaking routine maintenance and minor repairs
– Monitoring and maintaining heating, lighting, and alarm systems
– Managing the school grounds and carrying out gardening duties
– Keeping an inventory of equipment and supplies
– Assisting with the setup of facilities for events and activities
– Responding to emergency call-outs as required
**Requirements:**
– Previous experience in a caretaking or facilities management role is essential
– Knowledge of health and safety regulations
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Good communication skills

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position is recent and relevant experience, ideally school-based within the last 5 years.
