Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and reliable School Caretaker for an outstanding school in Lichfield. This is an immediate start role with split shift hours, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities:
– Ensuring the security of the school premises and carrying out routine safety checks
– Conducting general maintenance and minor repairs
– Cleaning and tidying communal areas, classrooms, and restrooms
– Setting up rooms for events and meetings
– Handling deliveries and managing stock levels of supplies
– Assisting with emergency procedures and acting as a keyholder for the school
Requirements:
– Previous experience in a similar role is essential
– Strong practical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
– Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Flexibility to work split shift hours and be available for emergency callouts

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
