Caretaker

Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a School Caretaker for a fantastic secondary school in Dudley. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks including opening and closing the site, maintaining general upkeep of the school premises, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for students and staff.

Responsibilities:
– Opening and closing the school premises
– Performing general maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting, and DIY
– Ensuring the school grounds are well-maintained and safe
– Cleaning duties as required, including classrooms, hallways, and restrooms
– Monitoring and reporting any health and safety issues
– Assisting with setting up for events and activities as needed
– Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times

Qualifications and Skills:
– Previous experience in a similar caretaking or maintenance role is preferred but not essential
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures
– Good time management and organizational skills
– Willingness to learn and develop new skills
