Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Catering Assistant for a thriving primary school in Lichfield. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the well-being of students through delicious and nutritious meals.
Duties of a School Catering Assistant:
– Assist in the preparation of meals in accordance with school menus and dietary guidelines.
– Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and dining areas.
– Serve meals to students and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
– Ensure food storage and handling procedures are followed to prevent contamination.
– Assist in the ordering and stock control of kitchen supplies.
– Follow health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements:
– Hold a valid Food Hygiene Certificate.
– Previous experience in a catering role is essential
– Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
– Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
– Passion for providing high-quality meals for students.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children.
All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you, the cost of the DBS is £61.30) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position is recent and relevant experience, ideally school-based within the last 5 years.
