Zest Education has the privilege of working with a high performing school in the Staffordshire area, looking to recruit a chemistry teacher to start February 2024 for at least one half term.
The school is greatly improving academically and are constantly working to ensure their students achieve the best grades possible whilst also developing into respectable young people. They are always looking to innovate and improve their curriculum to challenge the students.
The school has excellent science facilities with updated classrooms with chemistry and physics being taken up by a vast majority of the students at A level. The successful candidate will be joining a supportive staff and become and integral part of the science department, liaising with other teachers and technicians.
An ideal applicant will have:
- A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
- A strong passion for the subject of Chemistry and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 would be ideal but isn’t a necessity)
- A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
- The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
- Strong classroom and behaviour management.
