Zest Education is excited to be recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant position at a wonderful primary school in Frankley, Birmingham.
We are ideally looking for a dedicated and motivated individual with a strong work-ethic to join the Y5 class on a long-term basis. The ideal candidate should be hard-working, passionate, and committed, with a solid grasp of the national curriculum and a strong focus on child safeguarding.
As the class TA, your role will require you to be in from 08:15 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, assisting the class teacher in various activities. Your responsibilities will include supporting small and large groups of children, engaging in 1-1 and guided reading sessions, and providing individualised assistance to children as needed. Additionally, you will collaborate with the teacher to prepare classroom resources and set up the learning/lessons for the day.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a fantastic one-form entry school that prioritises delivering a creative and inspiring curriculum to its diverse pupils. There is also the potential for this role to transition into a permanent position, providing long-term stability and growth opportunities for the right candidate. Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
