Class Teacher

Job Description

Zest are currently looking for an innovative and inspirational teacher to join a Church of England Primary school from September 2025. This role is full time.

The school has high expectations for all children, positively promotes inclusion and has a good knowledge of curriculum and assessment.

This school provide a great learning environment for all children with a strong community ethos. They also provide a working environment where staff are valued and treated with respect. Staff as a whole are hard working, committed and dedicated to gain the best outcomes for all of pupils. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY AND KEY TASKS

PLANNING, TEACHING AND CLASS MANAGEMENT:

Teach allocated pupils by planning their teaching to achieve progression of learning through:

  • identifying clear learning intentions and specifying how they will be taught and assessed
  • setting tasks which challenge pupils and ensure high levels of interest
  • setting appropriate and demanding expectations
  • setting clear targets, building on prior attainment
  • identifying SEN or more able pupils.
  • providing clear structures for lessons maintaining pace, motivation and challenge.
  • making effective use of assessment and ensuring coverage of programmes of study.
  • ensuring effective teaching and best use of available time.
  • monitoring and intervening to ensure sound learning and discipline

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
