We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Classroom Support Assistant to join a special educational needs school located in Telford.
As a Classroom Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with severe and complex learning difficulties, ranging from ages 3 to 19. Your primary responsibility will be to provide individual and small group support, assisting with all areas of the curriculum. This will involve adapting teaching materials, implementing strategies to engage students with different learning needs, and fostering a positive learning environment.
To excel in this role, it is essential that you have previous experience working in a special school or a similar educational environment. You must be confident, enthusiastic, and able to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing setting. Your dedication to the growth and development of each student will be crucial in helping them reach their full potential.
The school prioritise the individual needs of each child and strive to create a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere. They believe in fostering curiosity and encouraging respectful behaviour, both among our students and our staff. Therefore, are seeking a Classroom Support Assistant who shares there values and is committed to making a difference in the lives of the students.
This is a full-time role with an immediate start, and it will continue on a long-term basis for the remainder of the academic year. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
