Classroom Support Assistant

Job Description

Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated Classroom Support Assistant to join a highly reputable school in Handsworth. As a Classroom Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons. Your main responsibilities will include:

– Assisting with the preparation of teaching materials and resources

– Supporting individual students or small groups with their learning needs

– Monitoring student progress and providing feedback

– Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment

– Collaborating with the teacher to implement lesson plans and activities

The ideal candidate for this position will have a genuine passion for working with children and a strong desire to contribute to their educational development. Previous experience in a similar role or working with children is essential for this role. The school is particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate the following qualities:

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

– Patience and empathy towards students of all abilities

– Adaptability and the ability to work collaboratively in a team

– Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask

This is a full-time position, starting as soon as possible. The working hours will be in line with the school’s timetable.

The pay for this role will start from £75 a day.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
