Zest Education is working in close partnership with a special educational needs school situated in Walsall who are looking for a passionate Classroom Support Assistant to work with them on a part-time basis starting in September 2022. The school are seeking a Classroom Support Assistant who can commit to three days a week, 8:30 to 15:30. This is a special school for students aged 11-19 with severe and profound complex learning difficulties. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with special educational needs or experience in a care setting.

The successful candidate must be able to identify and engage with different learning needs. It is important that you can quickly build trusting relationships with the children to overcome any challenges they may face. You must be a proactive individual who has proven experience of having strong behaviour management and working across a range of age groups.

The role:

  • You must have experience working with special educational needs or in a similar environment
  • You will be required to work with the children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • This school caters for a variety of ages, so you may be required to work with both primary and secondary aged students.
