Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are currently seeking a dedicated Classroom Support Assistant to join a special educational needs school in Lichfield, starting in September 2024 for a full-time, long-term position.
The school is renowned for providing exceptional education to children aged 3-14 with complex needs, severe learning difficulties such as autism, and profound multiple learning difficulties. The school pride themselves on there family-centred approach, where collaboration with families is key to ensuring the best outcomes for each child.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess qualities of resilience, patience, and confidence when dealing with challenging behaviours. Previous experience in a special educational needs setting is a must, as you will be working closely with individual students and small groups, adapting to each child’s unique educational requirements to foster positive relationships.
As a Classroom Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in identifying and engaging with diverse learning needs, requiring confidence, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach to support the educational development of our students. Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
