Classroom Support Assistant

Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated classroom support assistant to join our team at a reputable school in Great Barr. This part-time position offers flexibility, allowing you to work three days a week starting from September 2024. Days to be worked can be discussed with the school at interview.

The school is a busy two form entry school provide an education for pupils from Nursery through to Year 6. The school also aims to create a positive and secure environment enabling all pupils to reach their full potential. The school have a strong focus on enabling all children to gain confidence, self discipline as well as respect for others. The school also offer a wide range of learning opportunities catering for the needs of all.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the classroom teacher and helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment for our students. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the implementation of lesson plans and learning activities.
  • Providing one-on-one support to students who require extra help.
  • Supervising students during class time and on school premises.
  • Assisting with classroom management and behaviour management strategies.
  • Collaborating with the teacher to assess student progress and provide feedback.

The pay for this role will range from £8o to £90 a day.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
