Classroom Support Assistant, Birmingham.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a classroom support assistant role in a brilliant special educational needs school located in Perry Common, Birmingham. This is a full-time position starting October 2022 and will continue into the new academic year.

This school caters for children from the age of four to eighteen with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with individuals with special educational needs or in a similar environment.

This school has achieved ‘outstanding’ on the last 6 OFSTED reports and is very proud of these achievements, this school are seeking an individual to strive to maintain these excellent standards. You will be required to work alongside the teacher, supporting the learning by preparing resources and working with the children in small groups as well as on a 1:1 basis.

The role:

  • You have previous experience of working with individuals with special educational needs
  • You support the children to learn as effectively as possible in small groups and individually
  • Passionate to build trusting relationships with the children to help them manage the learning challenges they may face.
