Become a part-time KS2 Teaching Assistant at a charming school in Swadlincote! We are in search of a compassionate individual to provide support every Tuesday to Thursday. If you have a passion for education and a desire to make a meaningful difference in children’s lives, we would be thrilled to receive your application.

Responsibilities:
1. Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons for KS2 students.
2. Support students with their learning, providing additional help and guidance as needed.
3. Help to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
4. Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
5. Supervise students during lessons and break times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
6. Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues regarding students’ progress and any concerns that may arise.
Requirements:
1. Experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably in KS2.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
4. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students’ learning and development.
5. A relevant qualification in education or a related field would be beneficial.
6. An understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
