Computer Science Teacher

Job Description

Are you a committed Computer Science Teacher with excellent knowledge of the curriculum and the ever-changing world of technology? A school in the Castle Bromwich area are looking for a dedicated Computer Science Teacher to join their team full-time in January 2025 (or earlier if possible). You will have the opportunity to inspire young minds and shape the future generation of tech-savvy individuals.

Key responsibilities:
– Plan and teach engaging lessons that motivate the students in your subject and cater to the needs of diverse learners
– Mark and assess students work and track student progression
– Have excellent curriculum knowledge that continues to develop with the advances in the subject
– Have strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

To apply for this role, you will need:

  • QTS – Qualified Teacher status in Computer Science (ECT’s, formerly known as NQT’s, are encouraged to apply)
  • Excellent subject knowledge of Computer Science in Key Stages 3 (KS3) and 4 (KS4) is essential
  • Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills
  • A strong school reference from your recent employer/placement
