Cover Supervisor

Zest Education is recruiting a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a school in Stamford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and is looking to gain valuable classroom experience in a supportive school environment.

🧩 Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
• Support pupils with their work and encourage engagement
• Follow school policies and report any concerns to senior staff
• Supervise pupils during lessons, break times, and transitions where required
• Provide general classroom support across different subjects

👤 Ideal Candidate

• Experience working with young people (school setting desirable)
• Confident, adaptable, and able to manage a classroom effectively
• Strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude
• Ability to follow lesson plans and maintain learning continuity
• Interest in education — ideal for aspiring teachers
• Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
