These positions offer paid work in schools which can help someone who is looking to get entry onto a teacher training course in the near future.

Zest Education are working closely with several secondary schools in Birmingham, close to Sutton Coldfield, who are looking to recruit Cover Supervisors to start with them ASAP.

We are looking for enthusiastic, hardworking, and passionate graduates to work as a Cover Supervisor in Sutton Coldfield schools, to start ASAP.

The Role of a Cover Supervisor

A successful Cover Supervisor will be required to work in this secondary school delivering high quality pre-planned lessons to groups of 11–18-year-old pupils.

Work will be pre-planned by the classroom teacher within the school, and you will be expected to deliver this to students, manage behaviour and provide feedback to relevant people within the school.

What qualifications do I need?

To be a successful Cover Supervisor we look for experience of 20 days or more working with children and/or young people. Several graduates working for Zest Education have gone on to gain their formal teaching qualifications. Cover Supervision is a great steppingstone into working as a teacher.

Pay and remuneration:

A Cover Supervisor can expect to be paid between £64 – £75 per day. Usual working hours will be between 8:30am – 3:30pm.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
