A position for a Cover Supervisor has become available at an excellent secondary school in Sandwell.

The school is seeking a Cover Supervisor that has strong behaviour management skills, good all round subject knowledge and the ability to multitask effectively.

If appointed as a Cover Supervisor, you will be expected to ensure pupils stay focused on set work in the absence of the class teacher.

Communication with other staff members will be key, as you need to be organised around what classes you will need to be in and at what times.

Timetables for this Cover Supervisor role will vary, depending on what staff are absent each day. Working hours will be 8am to 3pm, Monday to Friday, but can be tailored to your wants and needs.

To be successful in this role you must:

  • Be reliable and organised, with great time management skills.
  • Be punctual, hardworking and have confidence within the classroom with a proactive attitude towards learning.
  • Have good experience in managing behaviour within groups of children whilst adhering to the schools policies and procedures.
  • Be consistent in maintaining high standards.
  • Be a keen team player who can also work independently.

To be considered for this Cover Supervisor position, you will ideally have school based experience in a UK Secondary School, covering different types of lessons.

The rate of pay for this Cover Supervisor position will be between £65 to £85 a day depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.
