Zest Education are working alongside a wonderful school in Halesowen who are looking for a passionate teaching assistant to join their team on a full time basis from October 2024 on a ongoing basis. This position requires the successful candidate to work Monday to Friday across Early years all the way through to Key Stage 2.

The ‘good’ rated primary school in West Bromwich boasts a team of dedicated staff that goes above and beyond for their students. The commitment and passion of the teachers and support staff create a nurturing and encouraging environment where every child can thrive. With a two-form entry system, students benefit from smaller class sizes that allow for more personalised attention and tailored learning experiences.

As a Cross Year Teaching Assistant your responsibilities will include:
– Assisting classroom teachers in preparing materials and activities for lessons
– Providing one-on-one support to students who may need extra help with their academic work
– Supervising students during class time and ensuring a safe learning environment
– Collaborating with teachers to implement individual education plans for students with special needs
– Supporting students with their emotional and social development

To be successful within this position you must have:
– A relevant qualification in education or childcare
– Experience working with children in an educational setting, with knowledge of curriculum across EYFS to KS2.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Patience and empathy towards students of diverse backgrounds
– Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Pay will begin from £80.00 per day and will depend on experience and references.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
