Zest Education are working in partnership with a Secondary School in the Cannock area of South Staffordshire to source a full time Design & Technology Teacher from January 2024.
The school is looking for a creative and passionate applicant who is diverse in their teaching methods, able to control successfully manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment. This is a brilliant opportunity for a candidate to positively influence the lives of young students through creative work. Knowledge of two design and Technology disciplines is essential for this role as you will be working across a wider Design and Technology Department.
The school is a large secondary that caters to a broad range of students some with additional behaviour or learning needs who are supported by a strong learning development team.
The successful applicant will have:
- A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
- A strong passion for the subject of Design & Technology and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 (Resistant Material knowledge would be an advantage)
- A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
- The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
- Strong classroom and behaviour management
