Design & Technology Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education are looking to recruit a Design and Technology Teacher in a full time position for a local Tamworth Secondary School. This role is set to start January 2025 for the rest of the academic year .

The school are looking to gain an enthusiastic and passionate Teacher to join the vibrant Design and Technology department . The use of the schools newly renovated facilities allows more room for expression and creativity making lessons more enjoyable for all. Being centrally located allows easy access for those using public transport but the school also has onsite parking for those who find it needed.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for Design and Technology and a substantial knowledge of the subject across KS3 and KS4
  • A strong desire to be part of the wider D&T department
  • The ability to control the classroom and the behaviour of the students
  • A creative mind with the ability to adapt lessons as and when needed to suit the needs of the students.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
