We are keen to hear from UK qualified Teachers of Drama who are consistently good/outstanding practitioners, can inspire and motivate pupils, have excellent behaviour management strategies and deliver creative lessons while making a positive contribution to schools.
Zest Education are working closely with a secondary school in the Chelmsley Wood area who are looking for a Drama Teacher. This is a part-time (0.4 days) temporary position, to start in January 2024 for 1 academic term.
The school deliver year on year outstanding academic achievements, which places the academy as one of the most improved and highest performing in the region. The drama department are committed to developing CORE character traits as well as improving individuality. Studying drama cultivates a safe and respectful environment where students can explore complexed and current topics, showing an understanding of the world around them and develop the analysis of social, historical and cultural contexts of the world.
The successful candidate must have:
- A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
- A great team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
- A strong passion for the subject of Drama and able to teach the curriculum across KS3-KS4
- The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management
This is a temporary full time position starting as soon as possible.
Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.
Rate of pay will vary dependant on experience, ranging from £153-£211 a day.
