Zest Education are looking to recruit a hard-working, enthusiastic, and confident individual, who is interested in working and looking to explore other schools within the local area.

We are working closely with a large secondary school in North Birmingham, close to Sutton Coldfield. The school are looking to recruit a Drama Teacher, that can teach across KS3 and KS4. The role will start in September 2022, full time, for a minimum of one term.

The school offers great indoor and outdoor facilities, to allow for fun and creative lessons. The schools main aim is to encourage every student and challenge them to achieve their best, while supporting them to become responsible young adults. The team here work very hard to maintain a supportive and inclusive ethos across all areas of the school and put the children at the forefront and what they do.

The successful candidate must be an energetic, and engaging individual who has experience of having strong behaviour management skills and working across a range of KS3- KS4 groups.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A great team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • A great passion for the subject of Drama and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 would be ideal but isn’t essential)
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Rates of pay will vary dependant on experience.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
