Zest Education is offering an exciting opportunity for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) who is motivated, passionate, and eager to make a difference in children’s education. This full-time role, based at a welcoming school in Smethwick, provides the perfect environment to grow and develop as a teacher alongside a supportive team of experienced educators.
Start Date: March 2026
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Key Stage: KS1

As an Early Career Teacher, you will be supported by a team committed to excellence in teaching and learning.
Deliver engaging and creative lessons across KS1 in line with the National Curriculum.
Communicate professionally with parents and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure effective curriculum delivery.
Create a safe, well-organised classroom environment where all pupils can succeed.
Plan and implement engaging lessons that motivate and challenge students of all abilities.
Monitor pupil progress, providing additional support and individualised plans where necessary.
Recognised teaching qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Strong understanding of the national curriculum and a range of effective teaching strategies.
Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
Relevant experience working with children in an education based setting.
An enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
