Job Description

Are you in search of the perfect placement as an Early Career Teacher (ECT)? Do you aspire to gain experience in diverse schools within your local area? Zest Education is collaborating closely with multiple schools in Stoke on Trent, and these schools are actively seeking Early Career Teachers (ECTs). There are a wide range of opportunities available, including both short-term and long-term placements, all set to commence in the upcoming academic year.

Prospective candidates should possess the following qualities:
– A PGCE or an equivalent UK teaching qualification leading to QTS or QTLS certification.
– A genuine passion for their subject, along with exceptional knowledge across KS3 and KS4.
– A strong desire to work collaboratively within a broader teaching team.
– Proficiency in planning, marking, and delivering high-quality lessons (this requirement is applicable only to short- and long-term placements).
– Excellent classroom management skills, including the ability to effectively handle student behaviour.
– Proficiency in computer usage, with strong ICT skills and efficient time management.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
