Are you currently completing your PGCE but yet to secure a permanent role for September?

A lovely primary School in Burton on Trent are recruiting for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) to cover a Y3 class starting September 2022 for 1 term with potential to go permanent if your first term is successful. The school work exclusively with Zest Education and you will only be able to apply for this role through this advert.

The school is a large 2 form entry which caters for a broad range of pupils. The team here work hard to maintain a supportive and happy environment across all areas of the school as well as looking to provide all children with strong life skills. The school will provide you with valuable help and advice, as well as a dedicated ECT mentor who has an fantastic reputation for the support that they provide.

The successful applicant must have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS
  • A strong passion for teaching and excellent subject knowledge across KS2
  • A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management
  • Good time management and ICT skills

Excellent rates of pay are available starting from £100 per day. Pay to scale is available after a qualifying period of 12 weeks.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
