Zest are currently looking for an English teacher, to teach KS3 – KS4, in a large secondary school, in South Birmingham, close to Edgbaston. The role will start ASAP and continue until Easter. You would be working up to 3 days a week, of your choosing. This a fantastic opportunity if you are looking for a dynamic and diverse multi-cultural school.
The school has broad range of students and a high number of EAL students. The schools main aim is to support all their students and help them face any challenges they may have so that they can excel in society.
The school is situated in a popular area, so the ideal candidate will be hard working and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic, confident and be able to recognise and engage with different learning needs.
Successful candidates will have:
- A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
- A strong passion for the subject of English and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
- A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
- The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
- Strong classroom and behaviour management
Both Newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.
Rates of pay will vary dependant on experience.
